Are You a New Soul or an Old Soul?

Are You a New Soul or an Old Soul?featured

Have you ever heard a song, watched a movie, or visited a place for the first time that you already felt like you knew? Sometimes we refer to it as “deja vu” with no real explanation beyond that. If you have never felt like this and have no idea what I am talking about, there’s definitely a reason for that.

There are 2 kinds of souls in this world, the Old Souls and the New Souls. But how do we tell them apart?

An Old Soul is drawn to places they feel are part of their DNA. They have a sense of belonging when they connect with people or places they feel they have come across before. They search for answers deep within their past and work hard to hone in on their intuition, feelings, and emotions as they relate to the world around them. They see potential in concepts, ideas, and things from the past and often look to build on them in our present world. They search for familiar places deep-rooted in history and tend to do best while working alone or within a small intimate group of people in a modest space.

A New Soul likes to explore new places and sees each place with fresh eyes. They never feel as though they have been places they have never been to before. They love to meet new people and thrive off of new social experiences. They see the endless possibilities in the new territories they discover and have great visions and ideas for the future. They depend on facts, figures, and data when coming up with new ideas and concepts and often search for new environments in which to house their innovative projects. They reach their full potential while working as part of a larger team and within modern spaces.

So, which one are you?

Personally, I hate to be put into any category, but in this case, I am certain I am an Old Soul.

At first, I thought I might be crazy. My good friend looked at me like I was a psycho when I asked “Do you ever hear musical elements from the past and feel like you lived during those times?” Then I realized they are just a New Soul and I admire all souls.

When you put an Old Soul and a New Soul together you can create beautiful harmony and balance. With one person bringing in their Old Soul perspective, by looking deep into things humanity has tried and experienced before, while the other brings in their New Soul perspective by looking relentlessly toward a brave new future with no limitations… solutions, conversations, and ideation can be brilliant, versatile, and impactful.
